Gloucester Summer Festival and Carnival 18 July - 01 August 2009

Gloucester's two week summer festival kicks off on 18th July and runs 'till 1st August. With entertainment and activities for all ages planned across the city, there's lots to chose from. Most events are free, including the Carnival Procession, World Together Festival, music festival, spectacular fireworks and lots, lots more.

Some of the highlights of the 2009 Gloucester Festival:

17 Jul - 02 Aug: Bob Wilson's internationally renowned travelling funfair will be in Gloucester Park

18 Jul: The 73rd Gloucester Community Carnival Procession starting at 3.30pm from Gloucester Park

19 Jul: World Together Festival, Gloucester Park, starting 2pm

22 Jul - 30 Jul: Beach in the Park: seaside, competitions, Punch and Judy and more in Gloucester Park

01 Aug: Fireworks spectacular. Events from 7.30pm. Fireworks 9.30pm

02 Aug: Jamaican Indepence Day Kite Festival, Gloucester Park. Starting 2pm
