Coombe Country Park Visitor Centre burns down

The Top Pool Lodge Visitor Centre at popular Coombe Country Park on the outskirts of Coventry has been severely damaged by fire in the early hours this morning .

The building, which houses Coombe Country Park's educational activities, cafe and toilets has been closed off so that investigations into the suspected arson attack are undertaken.

Coombe Country Park itself remains open to the public as normal

Awful news! This was a great addition to the park - a good indoor facility for some refreshments or a wander around the educational centre...and a useful refuge from the heat - or more often the col, wind and rain.

Hope it can be repaired / replaced
