Head Teachers to vote on Sats boycott
The National Association of Head Teachers (NAHT) and the Nation Union of Teachers (NUT) have announced that head teachers will be balloted from 15th March on boycotting the this year's Sats tests as talks with the government aimed at reforming the Sats and league table system have not come to agreement.
The other main teaching union, the NASUWT, has already declared that it is against a boycott of the Sats
The results from the Sats tests in English and Maths taken by 11 year olds in English schools are used to compile primary school league tables.
