April Film Funday on Sunday 11th April 2010 at the British Film
Institute in Central London, courtesy of our friends at BFI Southbank.
April's Film Funday celebrates the 40th birthday of the classic film The Railway Children and 70 years of
Puffin books. BFI Southbank is delighted to present the newly remastered
digital print of The Railway Children - one of the best-loved
family films of all time. E Nesbit's sumptuous Victorian tale sees a
wronged family forced to move from London to Yorkshire, where they
experience a new life with hardship and adventure dished out in equal
well as the big screen feature, why not join in the BFI Film Funday Workshop? Help BFI to
launch a celebration of 70 spectacular years of Puffin at BFI Southbank.
Puffin is the No1 children's publisher in the world, so this month, BFI
Southbank is asking you to bring your favourite book and get
ready to transform it into your very own film!
With help on
hand from film professionals and writers, you'll be able to create a
script, characters and a storyboard which you can act
out in front of a camera to turn your favourite scene from a book
into a real movie!
With amazing Puffin goodies and prizes
to be won - this is a Funday not to be missed by the youngest reading
and film buffs!

lunch boxes at benugo bar.

*Family tickets are for up to 4 people including at least one adult
Competition rules - the boring (but necessary) stuff: No
purchase is necessary. Competitions are open to UK residents except
employees of IdeasForTheKids.com and anyone associated with this
promotion. Entrants must be 18 or over (if you are under 18, ask one of
your parents or guardians to enter for you). Only one entry per person.
The closing date for entries is Midday on Tuesday 6th April 2010
(UK time) and winner will be announced the same week. The winner will be
selected at random from all correct, valid entries received by the
closing date. The judges decision is final. There will be no cash
alternatives or substitutions and the prizes are not transferable. The
names of the winner will be posted to this site shortly after the draw
