The
fun, excitement and noise of Hovercraft racing comes to Sharnford near Hinckley in Leicestershire for the final round of the National Hovercraft Races
The Hinckley course is a mostly land based course with a small lake and featuring a long hill which the drivers climb with a hairpin at the top before coming back down the hill towards the lake. Scrubbing enough speed off to make the turns at the bottom of the hill is the key to being fast around this course.
If you've not been before, hovercraft racing is a fun and very family-friendly day out. You'll get to see racing hovercraft up close and have the chance to talk to the teams and drivers between the races too!
