The Outdoor Ice Rink at the 2011 Hyde Park Winter Wonderland will run between 18 Nov 2011 and 03 Jan 2012 and is sponsored by Samsung Galaxy.
Part of the phenomenally popular Hyde Park Winter Wonderland in London's Hyde Park, this year's Outdoor Ice Rink is the biggest ever, at over 1600m2 and is built around the Victorian Bandstand. It is also set to be London's largest open air ice skating rink. At night, the Ice Rink will be lit up with 108,000 pea lights, creating a spectacular, unique experience.
As over 120,000 skaters are expected over the 7 week period, advanced booking of a slot on the ice is strongly recommended.
Ice guides are available for hire to help you if you're new to skating or want to feel a bit more sure-footed. Ice skating group bookings and party packages are also available.
In addition to the outdoor ice rink, the 2011 Hyde Park Winter Wonderland has over 20 acres of festive fun to keep you entertained, including a 200 ft high Winter Wonderland Giant Wheel, Zippo's Christmas Circus, Cirque Extreme, Santa Land and stacks of festive fairground rides for young and old. The popular Angels Christmas Market and a German Christmas Market and the biggest ever selection of
cafes, bars and continental food and drink stalls will ensure that the
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland Christmas Fair will cater for more relaxing
moments and those festive shopping needs too. So there really will be something for the whole family in the run up to Christmas and the New Year at the 2011 Hyde Park Winter Wonderland.
