Earlyarts
is a network of practitioners and policy makers who are involved in developing
creative practice for birth to fives. The organisation, which endeavours to get
parents and their children involved in creative play, has designed a series of
postcards that are now available for practitioners and organisations to
purchase and distribute to parents.

This set of four postcards
designs is now available for anyone who would like to order a bulk load, to
distribute amongst parents, hand out at activity days and parent visits, and
generally use as an advocacy tool for creative play. Each of the postcards
focuses on a different aspect of children's learning and development, and the
activities suggested on them are based in the real world activities that many
parents will be familiar with and be willing to engage in.
The activities are all child-oriented and act as a starter to encourage parents
and carers to become more involved in their child's development, with lots of
opportunities for these activities to be taken further in the home or the early
years setting. On the reverse of each postcard is a list of four areas of
learning and development that each activity will promote, to help parents
understand the links between creative play and development of important skills
and competencies.
