Firefighters in North Yorkshire were more than a little surprised to be called to rescue a sheep from the roof of a house.
The stray sheep found its way onto the roof of the house in Middlesmoor having first jumped onto the roof of a kennel, then a shed and the low roof of an adjacent building.
Not surprisingly, the sheep did not respond to the firefighter's attempts to coax it from the roof. It eventually fell off the roof, sustaining a broken leg in the fall.
A local farmer is reported to be treating the unfortunate sheep for its injuries.
