Bad news for Harry Potter fans - the release of The Half-Blood Prince, the sixth instalment of the incredibly popular teenage Wizard's adventures, has been pushed back by 8 months to July 2009.
Originally due for release in November, with a Royal Premiere on 17th November, the delay will be a blow to many, many fans who had been looking forward to the pre-Christmas release.
Alan Horn, president of studio Warner Bros, said the decision was taken
to guarantee the studio a major summer blockbuster in 2009. He also blamed the Hollywood writers' strike, which hit the film industry hard earlier this year.
Looks like Alan Horn will be taken off the Christmas card lists of a very large number of kids...
