The classic 60's and 70's TV show, The Banana Splits is to return to TV and the Web in September.
Known and loved by a generation of kids, now in their 30's 40's and 50's, the hit Hanna-Barbera TV show featured a costumed rock band made up of Fleegle the dog, Drooper the lion,
Bingo the gorilla and Snorky the elephant who hung out in their Banana
Pad while playing music and telling jokes.
The show's theme song, The Tra La La Song, quickly became a classic.
The new comedy shorts and music videos will appear on the Cartoon Network and its website from September...and rather inevitably, DVDs, live concerts, music CDs, and online games from the anarchic crew are expected to follow.
