My husband and I went with the kids (15, 12 and 8). We had a great time and suprisingly so did all three of the kids (and the grownup kid)!!! Rarely do we find somewhere that's fun for all of them. I didn't actually go into the 'arena' (although quite a few ladies my age were) but enjoyed a cup of tea of their sofas. Very civilised. Also got shown around their 'super star' karaoke room. It looks great, thinking of bringing a few grils from work. It has lights and a little stage but not too scary. Also have girly children's parties in it as well as 'pamper parties'.

As you say, it's tough to find something for the whol family, particularly witha wide age range.
