The sixth installment of the Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy series, "And Another Thing", has just been announced.

This is fabulous news for the millions of fans of the classic series, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (THHGTTG or H2G2 as it is known to many) which has gone from cult radio show to a series of books and a film. 

Children's author, Eoin Colfer has been comissioned to write the 6th installment of the Hitchhikers Guide series. Colfer, 43 is already well known for the multi-million selling Artemis Fowl novels.

As fans of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy will know, Douglas Adams, THHGTTG's creator died of heart failure in 2001aged just 49. Around 16 million copies of the Hitchhiker books were sold around the world and they have been translated into 35 languages. The last book in the series, Mostly Harmless, was published 16 years ago.

Fans of Arthur Dent, Zaphod Beeblebrox, Marvin the paranoid android and the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster can look forward to the latest installment of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galazy, "And Another Thing" in October 2009.
