Edinburgh’s
Christmas Winter Wonderland opens its gates to another winter season of
ice skating, live entertainment and fun for the whole family. Set in the stunning surroundings of East Princes Street Gardens, come and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere with twinkling lights in the trees, and set against the dramatic backdrop of Edinburgh's Castle.
La Gaiete, a traditional Belgian
Spiegeltent, will be open throughout the day service coffee and a full bar service. La Gaiete will play host to a children's show “Jolly Jango
Christmas” in the mornings and “White Magic”, a Christmas Cabaret for
all the family in the evening. The
evening show features magicians, Australian drag queens, local hip hop
group Etch 'n' Sketch, slapstick comedy from the Scottish Falsetto Sock
Puppets and outrageous fun from Clive Nicholas Andrews.
The
open air ice rink can accommodate over 300 skaters at any one time and
there will be experienced skating coaches on hand. Situated next to the stunning ice rink, the Childrens ice rink is a safe place for the young
ones. There’s more fun to be had in the new “snow cars” and a brand new
“snow slide”. Come along, get your skates on and be part of the magic that is Edinburgh's Christmas Winter Wonderland.
