Some of the City's most unique streets
host York's Festival of Angels. This is a true winter festival,
transforming York into a winter wonderland of ice-sculptures, stalls,
al fresco dining, street entertainment and 'snow showers'.
Popular
with both visitors and residents, the Festival of Angels takes place on Saturday
13th and Sunday 14th December from 12noon until 6pm, across the streets
of Swinegate, Back Swinegate and Grape Lane.
The Sunday of the festival sees the
Parade of Angels wind its way through the streets of The Quarter as
snow showers add to the festive charm. There may even be a visit from
Father Christmas!
