Rugby Art Gallery and Museum shortlisted for major national award
Rugby Art Gallery and Museum is just one of six museums in the UK to be shortlisted by the Contemporary Arts Society for its annual Commission Award.
If RAGM wins, it will receive £60,000 to commission an artist to make a new work for their public collection of contemporary art.
The Contemporary Arts Society will announce the winner of the Commission Award in November.
Rugby Art Gallery and Museum's Rugby Collection was established in 1946 and now holds more than 170 critically acclaimed paintings, drawings, prints and video pieces including work by Eduardo Paolozzi, Walter Sickert, Barbara Hepworth, and Judith Cowan
