Over one million kids aged 11 to 14 in England will get their Sats results late this year. The National Curriculum test results were due to be delivered to schools on the 8th July, but will now be delayed by at least a week.
It is now hoped that the Key Stage 2 results will be published on 15th July. Key Stage 3 results are understood to be further behind, but all available results will be published by 18th July.
The reason for these delays? Apparently the main causes are lateness in the completion of the marking process and a series of technical and adminstrative issues.
