The Newcastle Green Gathering will take place in Exhibition Park, Newastle Upon Tyne on 30 and 31 August 2008. It is billed as "Possibly the UK’s best free music, arts and environment festival"

Featuring 4 stages of local and national music, arts, community groups, alternative therapies, ethical fashions, stalls, food, drink (please note – no alcohol to be brought onto the site - drinks available through event bars), workshops and much more.

It is all dedicated to making sure that everyone in the city and beyond can make small but practical steps to change the environment we live in for the better; and have a great time while learning a bit as well.

The kids area will feature rides, activities, games and entertainment for kids of all ages (plus adults who should know better) will be available across the park, from fairground rides, to climbing walls.
