    The National Media Museum in Bradford has a packed programme of events over the summer to keep families entertained of the school holidays!

    Summer Holidays Week 1 at the National Media Museum, Bradford

    Monday 26 July – Sunday 1 August
    Games Galore!
    Join us for a fantastic week of games inspired workshops and drop-in activities inspired by our Games Lounge and special exhibition Robbie Cooper: Immersion.

    Monday 26 July – Friday 30 July, 10am - 12 noon
    Big Screen Gaming
    Free. Drop in for a chance to play some of your favourite Wii games on our cinema screen.

    Lego Animation Family Workshop
    £3 per ticket, booking essential.
    Create your own stop-motion animation adventure in the style of popular console games Lego Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones. Suitable for families with children aged 5-12

    Pixel Art Stop-Motion Family Workshop
    £3 per ticket, booking essential.
    Design your own game character and then create a stop-motion animation inspired by early platform games. Suitable for families with children aged 6+

    Amazing Avatars Workshop for young people

    Be inspired by our Gallery Two exhibition Robbie Cooper: Immersion and design your very own avatar using Open Sim. Suitable for young people aged 13-17

    Nintendo DS World Record Breaking Attempt!
    Free. Drop-in Activity
    Have you ever wanted to be a record breaker?  Bring you Nintendo DS along to the Museum on Wednesday 28 July and join us as we attempt to break the World Record for the largest number of people playing a Nintendo DS simultaneously!

    The day will be packed with lots of other fun activities so come along with your friends and family and join in the fun!

    Behind the Scenes at Aardman Animations

    Join professional animators from Aardman Animations and discover how they created the fun new animation software Flipnote, especially for the Nintendo DSi.

    Flipnote Animations Family Workshop 
    £3 per ticket, booking essential.
    With the help of professional animator Jack Lockhart, create your very own animation using Nintendo’s new software Flipnote. One DSi per child will be provided for use within the workshop. Suitable for families with children aged 5-12

    Nintendo DS Tournament
    Free. Drop-in Activity
    Bring your DS and play classic DS games, battle your way into the grand final and win yourself some fantastic prizes donated by Nintendo.
    Please bring your own DS console, a small number will be available to borrow on the day.

    Experiment with light to create a range of photograms to take away in a mini photograph album.  Suitable for children aged 6+

    Get creative and transform your digital photographs using Photoshop CS4. Suitable for young people aged 14+
