Regular users will have noted some significant changes to the site this week. Moley and the team at IFTK central are really excited about the new functions we've added.
Special dated events - there is now a new tab on all attraction pages to promote any special dated events they may have during the year. You'll now be able to see what special events they are running and what they are doing for example during school holidays, at half term, at the weekend or on a bank holiday, for Bonfire night, Diwali, Valentines day, Pancake day (aka Shrove Tuesday or Mardi Gras), Easter, Christmas etc.
In order to help you find special events in your area, we've also updated the search page. It should be straight forward to see what to do...just enter a date or range of dates and click on the search button. You can also use the other elements of the search box to be more specific about what you're looking for - for example by picking a county or type of attraction from the relevant drop-down list or specifying a post code and radius.
It'll probably take a few weeks to load up a significant number of dated events, so please keep checking back..and in any case, don't forget you can still look at the normal listings to see what's around.
Another change you'll have noticed on the search results is the addition of ratings summaries (that's the stars!) and pictures or logos of the attractions. The pictures and logos now also appear on the attraction pages. Here too, we're working hard with the attractions to get everything loaded up on screen as soon as possible, so you'll probably see more and more appear every week.
Having mentioned the ratings, thanks to all of you who have been submitting ratings and reviews. Much appreciated. Do keep 'em coming in as they are really useful to other users...and remember that Moley will enter you into our monthly prize draw for every review you submit.
That's all for now. Have fun...and for those on half term shortly, here's hoping the weather holds out and you find loads of exciting things to keep the kids entertained.
Cheers...Moley and the team at IFTK
